Start with what is already there

A fall refresh can be as simple as changing a few textures. Keep the pieces that work all year—wood, cream ceramics, and warm metal finishes—and build around them.

Let texture do the seasonal work

Try a soft throw beside a woven basket, or pair a smooth ceramic vase with a textured pillow. Ivory and cocoa feel cozy together without needing a room full of seasonal decorations.

Choose one deeper accent

Wine or evergreen can give a neutral room a little depth. Repeat that color in two small details, then leave space around them so the room still feels light.
